Find peace, confidence & freedom

About me...

Welcome! I’m Lisa, a psychodynamic hypnotherapist, senior yoga teacher, and holistic coach dedicated to supporting you on your journey to deep inner healing and transformation. With nearly a decade of experience in the wellness industry, my passion lies in helping clients resolve the root of their limiting beliefs, navigate anxiety, and unlock their fullest potential.

What am I a hypnotherapist?
My own healing journey led me to hypnotherapy, and it’s been a transformative force in my life. Through hypnotherapy, I’ve uncovered and released deep-seated emotions and patterns in ways that traditional therapies hadn’t reached. This personal experience drives my compassionate, client-centred approach.

What makes me unique as a therapist?
In addition to my hypnotherapy practice, my background as a yoga teacher has equipped me with tools to understand the intricate connection between mind and body. By integrating practices such as Yoga for Depression, Elemental Psychology, and Chakra Theory into my sessions, I provide holistic support for your emotional, energetic, and psychological well-being.

What is Hypnotherapy?

How can Hypnotherapy help?

Hypnotherapy is a powerful therapeutic technique that uses guided relaxation and focused attention to access the subconscious mind. In this deeply relaxed state, the mind becomes more open to exploring thoughts, emotions, and memories, enabling you to gain transformative insights and healing.

As a psychodynamic hypnotherapist, I specialise in uncovering and addressing the root cause of emotional and psychological challenges. Unlike surface-level approaches, this modality focuses on the subconscious patterns that influence behaviors, emotions, and physical health.

There are no real boundaries when it comes to Hypnotherapy as it can help in a myriad of ways. Here are some examples of some of the symptoms and obstacles hypnotherapy can help with:

  • Anxiety

  • Stress

  • Depression

  • Disordered eating

  • Pain and chronic pain

  • Confidence and self-esteem

  • Self-limiting beliefs and imposter syndrome

  • Fear / phobias

  • Grief, loss, and heartbreak

  • Addictions and unwanted habits

  • Childhood and adult trauma

“Working with Lisa is such a joy. Warm, empathetic and kind, she is a skilled hypnotherapist and uses her skill to help you remove well buried barriers to personal growth. She is affirming and encouraging throughout the process. I would wholeheartedly recommend Lisa.”

How does it work?

Your hypnotherapy journey begins with an open and compassionate conversation.

Together, we’ll explore your concerns, goals, and history to create a tailored approach that feels aligned with your needs.

A typical session involves:

Initial Discussion: Sharing your experiences and defining goals.

Guided Relaxation: Entering a calm, focused state with my support.

Exploration: Accessing your subconscious to uncover root causes and gain insights.

Transformation: Releasing limiting beliefs and integrating new, empowering perspectives.

Every session is held in a safe, supportive space where you are fully in control. Hypnotherapy is a collaborative process designed to help you harness your inner wisdom and heal at your own pace.

FAQs

What is hypnotherapy? Analytical, or Psychodynamic, Hypnotherapy is a powerful, in-depth, therapeutic approach, blending psychotherapy and hypnotherapy to unearth and resolve the root cause of any psychological and physiological issues. Hypnosis is a natural state and is a lot like daydreaming or being engrossed in a TV programme and not being able to hear what else is going on in the room. In the relaxed state of hypnosis, you will be in control of yourself at all times. I will talk you through guided relaxation and when in the relaxed state of hypnosis, you will have greater access to your subconscious mind, enabling you to understand and resolve the root cause of your symptoms.

Can I be hypnotised? Hypnosis is a natural state and is a lot like daydreaming or being engrossed in a TV programme so can be achieved by anyone. Hypnosis is a relaxed state where the thinking mind can drop away and you can gain access to the subconscious mind – however, if you do not want to be hypnotised then it will be extremely difficult to enter the hypnosis state as it is all about relaxation.

How long are the hypnotherapy sessions? Hypnotherapy sessions typically last between 75-90 minutes and will be no more than 90 minutes long.

Where are the sessions held? Hypnotherapy sessions are available in person in Winchester, New Alresford, and online via Zoom. Online hypnotherapy sessions are just as effective as in-person sessions. All you need is the sound of my voice and a safe and comfortable space where you can be relaxed and undisturbed for the duration of the session.

How should I prepare for my session? To get the most out of your hypnotherapy session, consider the following: Avoid caffeine at least two hours before your session, as it can make relaxation more challenging. Refrain from alcohol or recreational drugs at least 24 hours before your session to ensure a clear and focused mind. Find a quiet, comfortable space (if attending remotely) where you won’t be disturbed. Come with an open mind—hypnotherapy works best when you’re willing to engage in the process.

How will I feel after the session? Each person reacts differently, and no two sessions are exactly alike. You may feel: Deeply relaxed and calm, as if you’ve had a restful sleep. A sense of lightness or emotional release if we’ve worked through deep-seated feelings. Energised and uplifted, with newfound clarity and motivation. Mildly tired or introspective, especially if profound shifts have occurred. These responses are all natural and part of the body’s way of processing change. I encourage you to take time for yourself after your session—whether that’s resting, journaling, or simply allowing space to integrate the experience.

"I'm not sure how you did it but I felt safe, secure and supported. Due to me feeling this way I was able to effortlessly release some past trauma I didn't even know I had."
